In another incident in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, a bus driver escaped prosecution despite being accused by an old woman of knocking her off her tricycle. Surveillance footage proved that the bus had not been involved in any so-called “accident” and that the woman was merely trying to frame an innocent person.
But cameras cannot be everywhere. And therefore, we must still count on Good Samaritans who will offer help without thinking, on bystanders who will bear witness to the truth of what happened, and on relatives who will think twice before blaming others for their own familial failings.
