“Words separate, pictures unite” (Otto Neurath) is the motto of Neography, a personal project by Thibault Geffroy. By reflection on the evolution of the transmission of news information, the ‘soon to be released’ apps for iPhone and iPad will attempt to enable readers to access the latest news quickly through a system of signs and images (RSS reader?). “Neography”, Thibault describes, “builds on the growing interest in data visualization by allowing the coexistence of pictographic symbols of the alphabet, with photo montages to create a kind of a visual riddle. The project is an experimental response in the form and content, a screen … to regain the power of the image.” (Filip Visnjic, CreativeApplications.net)
